Welcome to Class 3

In Class 3 we have 15 Year 3 children and 16 Year 4 children. Miss Houseman is our Class Teacher and our Teaching Assistants are Mrs Wright and Mrs Bills.

In Numeracy we had a great time making parachutes to test the hypothesis: The bigger the object, the faster it falls.

During Science we have spent some time looking at food chains and food webs. We had fun handling the skeletons of different animals!

Class 3 have been exploring Judaism in RE.

 

 

We have found lots of interesting facts about the Torah, the Synagogue and Pesach.

We are learning about life in India!

In Literacy we are learning about Roald Dahl. We worked in groups to write and prepare a presentation on the different books that he has written.

We had a marvellous time rehearsing and performing our Play in a Week...

We have enjoyed exploring different types of persuasive writing in Literacy.

The first stop on our around the world tour was Peru.

We spent some time looking at traditional Peruvian dress and had great fun designing and making our own ponchos.

In Science we are learning about how to create a simple electrical circuit.

After the summer holiday our vegetable plot needed a bit of tidying up. We have spent some time harvesting our vegetables and weeding the vegetable plot.

We are enjoying taking part in a ten week dance programme to learn a routine for a festival later on in the year.

We loved the dance lessons!

We have been finding out about the Amazon Rainforest and have made our own display to share this information with other children in the school.
