How we support our SEND pupils

Some of our pupils may need a little extra help and this is where our Special Educational and Disability (SEND) support comes in. Each child with additional needs is offered different support tailored to meet their needs. Staff at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School work closely with our children, their parents and, where appropriate, outside agencies, to develop each child’s individual support package.

Our SEND Information Report outlines how we identify support and monitor the progress of our children with additional needs.

Our SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) is Ms Rachel Monaghan.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact Mrs Marshall via the school office on 01653 692274, who will be more than happy to help.

Our policies relating to SEND, Inclusion, English as an Additional Language (EAL) and Accessibility are available below.  If you require any of these as hard copies, please just let the office know and they will be provided free of charge.

Local Offer

The local offer provides information on what services children, young people and their families can expect from a range of local agencies, including education, health and social care. Knowing what is out there gives you more choice and therefore more control over what support is right for your child. The North Yorkshire local offer can be found at this link
