This week's activities are slightly different and aren't based around a film. I hope you enjoy them.
I know a lot of us are beginning to think we might stay home this Summer. Don't worry - we are going to do some travelling with our writing activities. We'll also be looking at some history and geography too!
To give you some flexibility, I have put the next two weeks work together. That way, you can spend longer on some areas if your prefer - especially the research-based activities. Please still follow the sequence of lessons. As usual, I would love to see any work, or just get in touch if you've got any questions or would like some help.

Activity 3 - I can ask questions about modern Greece.
Travel to Greece with this video....
Activity 4 - I know why headings and subheadings are useful.
This link to the BBC Bitesize lesson on report writing will help you with your fact file on Greece. Although it is called Report Writing, it has information on headings and subheadings. I think the second video with the cartoon alien is the best one. There is also a quiz to look at once you have watched it. Test yourself to see what you know!
Activities 5 & 6 - I can research information for a fact file on modern Greece.
Remember to keep your research and your fact file about modern Greece
Here are some sites that might help you.
Remember if you're using the internet to check with your grown-up to make sure the sites you're using are suitable.
Activity 7 - I can place events on a timeline using the correct historical terms.
Activity 8 - I can identify key facts about Sparta and Athens
Here are some resources to help get you started with your research. The internet is a great source of information for this topic with film clips, websites, even entire documentaries. Please just check with a grown-up that they are suitable before you begin watching.
Activity 9 - I understand what paragraphs are and how to use them.
